Before 2013, Boynton Beach’s highest win total for a season was five.
But the Tigers shattered that mark last season, finishing with a 9-2 record and earning a trip to the playoffs. Now, Boynton is hoping to reach even higher.

Rick Swain is ready to call it a career.
After 41 years of coaching, the 63-year-old Boynton Beach head football coach and athletic director has decided he will retire after the 2014 football season. Next year will mark Swain’s seventh season at the school. The news was first reported by ESPN 106.3.
“My wife is already retired and I feel like I’ve done everything I could do at Boynton Beach,” Swain said. “I came in and realized I had a rough road ahead of me trying to change the football mentality and culture, and I think we’ve done that.”
