St. Andrews point guard Tayler Tremblay signs with High Point

St. Andrews 5-foot-7 point guard Tayler Tremblay has signed a scholarship with High Point University (N.C.) in the Big South Conference. Tremblay enjoyed a breakout season her senior year with 23.3 points per game and 6.28 assists. She also scored 43 points against Inlet Grove this season and had three other games of 30 points or more.

Nine area basketball players nominated for 2010 McDonald’s All American Game

Nine of the area’s top boys and girls players have been nominated for this year’s McDonald’s All American Game on March 31 at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

The nominees for the girls are Brittni Montgomery and Terrice Robinson from Fort Pierce Central, Jamierra Faulkner from Trinity Christian, Porsche Shakes from Palm Beach Central, and Tayler Tremblay of St. Andrews. The boys are Jorel Terrell of Martin County, Kevin Paxson from Jupiter, Johnny Lantz of Berean Christian, and Brice Jenkins of Summit Christian.

St. Andrew’s gets a boost as regular season winds down

The St. Andrew’s girls basketball team earned a big win Tuesday night over district opponent Cardinal Newman. The win put the Scots (12-4) in a tie for the No. 1 seed in district 13-3A with Cardinal Newman and gave them a boost as they finally beat the Crusaders.
