PBgametime Baseball: Inside the Top 10, plus the top games of Week 7

Spring break is behind us and the playoff push is on.

Park Vista is still at the top of the rankings, as the Cobras are rolling as expected. But American Heritage and Boca Raton will have a chance to change that, as they will each face Park Vista before the end of the regular season.

Baseball: Trinity Christian, Glades Day earn spots in state poll

A pair of small schools from Palm Beach County cracked the fourth edition of Theprepzone.com state baseball poll released Tuesday.

Trinity Christian made the Class 3A poll, coming in at No. 10 after winning two games last week to improve to 9-3. In Class 2A, Glades Day made its first appearance in the poll at No. 8. [More]

The playoff race is starting to heat up as the second half of the season is near.

Park Vista, Seminole Ridge, Benjamin and Palm Beach Gardens keep rolling, as they all kept their spots in the Post’s Top 10. The four have combined to record a 33-5 record this year.

Will a Palm Beach County team knock Park Vista from the top spot in the Post’s Top 10 this season?

If so, it won’t be this week. The nationally ranked Cobras are still at the top of the rankings, but Benjamin and Boca Raton continue to creep up the list after strong starts.

We’ve just begun a new baseball season, but the usual names are at the top of the rankings.

The high school baseball season has begun, and we have already had some interesting results. Park Vista already has one loss, and District 9-8A teams like Wellington, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens and Seminole Ridge are off to hot starts. [More]

Baseball: Santaluces Slam set to begin Tuesday

It’s that time of the year again.

The Santaluces Slam is here, which means high school baseball is also here. The week long tournament features eight of Palm Beach County’s top teams, as they face off in the showcase event to kick off the regular season.

The tournament was scheduled to begin Monday, but inclement weather pushed the start of the event to Tuesday. [More]
