Baseball: Inside the new Top 10, plus the top games of Week 4

Will a Palm Beach County team knock Park Vista from the top spot in the Post’s Top 10 this season?

If so, it won’t be this week. The nationally ranked Cobras are still at the top of the rankings, but Benjamin and Boca Raton continue to creep up the list after strong starts.

Park Vista will have to deal with high expectations this season.

If you needed further evidence of that, the first edition of Theprepzone.com state baseball poll provided it. The Cobras came in at No. 1 in the Class 8A poll released Wednesday. [More]

We’ve just begun a new baseball season, but the usual names are at the top of the rankings.

Park Vista is still No. 1, and four teams from the always competitive District 9-8A made the list. Small schools powers Trinity Christian, Benjamin and American Heritage are also in this week’s Top 10. [More]

And we’re off.

The high school baseball season has begun, and we have already had some interesting results. Park Vista already has one loss, and District 9-8A teams like Wellington, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens and Seminole Ridge are off to hot starts. [More]

It’s that time of the year again.

The Santaluces Slam is here, which means high school baseball is also here. The week long tournament features eight of Palm Beach County’s top teams, as they face off in the showcase event to kick off the regular season.

The tournament was scheduled to begin Monday, but inclement weather pushed the start of the event to Tuesday. [More]
