There’s a new No. 1 this week following losses by the top five teams in our poll. Palm Beach Gardens dropped out of the top spot after losing 2-1 in eight innings to Wellington on Wednesday. The Wolverines have beaten the Gators twice this season, and moved up two spots to No. 3. Palm Beach Gardens also lost to nationally ranked Fort Lauderdale-St. Thomas Aquinas last week and fell to No. 4. [More]

Rain and darkness impacted dozens of games last week, with a handful of teams losing one or two games to Mother Nature. Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens and Boca Raton were among those teams that were able to complete just one game. [More]

Palm Beach Gardens dropped its first game of the season last week after opening at 8-0, falling 5-4 to Wellington on a seventh-inning double Feb. 25. The Gators hung on to the top spot in our poll despite the loss, though Park Vista, Jupiter, Spanish River and the Wolverines all could challenge for the No. 1 ranking in the coming weeks. [More]
