It’s been a good year for high school girls basketball in Palm Beach County.

A record four teams from Palm Beach County have earned trips to Lakeland for this week’s girls basketball state tournament. Grandview Prep (2A), Cardinal Newman (4A), Palm Beach Lakes (7A) and Boca Raton (8A) will represent the area in the tourney. [More]

Palm Beach County still has a chance to send a girls basketball team to Lakeland in five out of the eight classes.

Boca Raton (8A), Palm Beach Lakes (7A), Cardinal Newman (4A), Oxbridge Academy (3A), Atlantic Christian (2A) and Grandview Prep (2A) are all still alive entering the regional finals. Palm Beach Lakes and Grandview Prep have a chance to make it back to the state tournament after earning a trip to Lakeland last season.

The girls basketball regional tournament is about to begin and 14 teams from Palm Beach County are still alive.

The regular season is just one week old, but the Post’s Top 10 already looks a little different.

Palm Beach Lakes, Lake Worth and Cardinal Newman and Boca Raton are still at the top of the rankings, but Dwyer dropped out of the top 10 after an 0-3 start. Spanish River took the Panthers’ spot, entering the rankings at No. 9 after beating Boynton Beach and Suncoast to begin the year. [More]
